Welcome to Dromore Ladies Hockey Club Junior Section.


We have 9 seperate age groups split over three training sessions.

Saturday 10:30am – 12:00am – P3 and P4 squads
Monday 6:00pm – 7:30pm – Year 8 – Year 11 Squads – U13 and U15
Wednesday 6:00pm – 7:30pm – P5 – P7 Squads
Wednesday 7:30pm – 9:00pm – Extra sessions for U13 and U15 Squads when needed

The primary school P3 & P4 age groups train on Saturday mornings, P5, P6 and P7 on Wednesday evenings and Year 8-Year 11 age groups train on Monday evenings.

We will always welcome new players, regardless of age, experience or ability. Why not come along and see for yourself. All our sessions are run by fully qualified and accredited coaches and are operated in a safe and fun environment.

Safeguarding and Policies

Our Welfare Officer within the Club is Lynne Nesbitt. Lynne is also the Principal of Donaghcloney Primary School and has a wealth of knowledge regarding safeguarding children in sport. 2017-2108 Initiatives

Junior Tournament. The traditional end of season tournament will take place on Saturday 28 May 2016 at Ferris Park, beginning at 09:30am. We normally finish at around 2:00pm. The Dromore Tournament is for girls in the P3 – P7 Squads and sees the cream of Ulster Hockey talent playing at Ferris Park. We will have our popular BBQ, bouncy castles, tuck shop, face painting and dance competitions with our own Tournament DJ.

Tricks 4 Sticks will return on Saturday 16 April 2016 between 10:00 and 12:00 and this year will be for all P3 – P7 girls. Immediately afterwards, all P3 – P7 Player of the Year Awards will be presented.

U13 and U15 Finals night is an inter-club tournament on their final night of training on Monday 18 April 2015 between 6:00pm and 9:00pm. Immediately afterwards, all Player of the Year Awards will be presented.

U15 Events and Awards. The U15 bowling trip has been scheduled for Friday 18 March 2016, further details will be provided in the New Year. The U15 Awards will be presented with the Senior Club Awards at Players Night 2016 (date TBC). This initiative assists U15 players’ integration into the Senior Club for 2016-17.

P2 T’ry Hockey’ will return in May and June 2016 for any P2 girls wishing to sample hockey for a few weeks. Try Hockey costs £3 per session. Sessions for  2016 will be Saturday 30th April, 7th May, 4th & 11th June 2016. Each session will run from 10:00am to 11:30am.
