The girls started strong and put Banbridge under pressure in the 1st quarter winning a short corner and April McFarland stepped up with a straight strike from the top of the circle beating the keeper into the corner of the goal. Banbridge improved and we entered half time 1-0 up. Second half Banbridge kept the pressure on but strong defensive work by the girls kept it a tight game. Banbridge on the third attempt in a series of short corners got the equaliser. Dromore had more chances and a superb counter attack nearly resulted in a goal from Rachel Emerson reaching for the ball and deflecting towards the net only for the Banbridge keeper getting a touch it just went wide. Excellent performances across the squad which played at full strength with Player of the Match going to Taylor Barlow for outstanding work in centre defence including two goal line clearances. A strong performance against a Banbridge team who had the benefit of their 1s team playing the night before - freeing some of them up to play in their 2s.
